In the Philippines, CECI promotes the economic empowerment of women in key sectors such as the green economy, rural agriculture by providing coaching and support, CECI strives to enhance the performance of partner organizations and foster an environment that encourages the inclusion and economic advancement of women
Functions
The primary partner organization (under contract) for this assignment is Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF), but the volunteer will also support other partner organizations of the Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP).
Support the integration of environmental considerations and the concept of eco-responsible entrepreneurship into management, monitoring, and activity-planning processes, both within partner organizations and the country team.
Identify, at local, regional, and national levels, key stakeholders and initiatives that are leaders in the Green Economy.
Promote the creation of opportunities for learning, networking, research, collaboration, and training on environmental issues, the green economy, and climate change adaptation for partner organizations, volunteers, and the country team.
Collaborate with partner organizations to develop environmental awareness, advocacy and management tools, as well as strategies or policies aimed at improving their organizational environmental performance in implementing actions for climate change adaptation measures.
Participate in designing methodologies and tools to identify and document best practices in environmental management, the green economy, and climate change adaptation implemented by partner organizations with the support of the program.
Develop communication tools and case studies to share these best practices.
Facilitate the development of capacities for identification, and developing programs, research or advocacy related to green jobs opportunities and mechanisms for the partner organizations and/or their networks.
Systematically integrate gender equality, human rights, and diversity approaches into all activities, ensuring the participation and representation of women and young women throughout all initiatives.
Integrate environmental issues and climate change adaptation in all activities.
Make sure to respect, at all times, the organization's guides, manuals, guidelines, or instructions related to security and safety.
Take the necessary means to ensure your own security, namely by establishing an individual risk mitigation plan in your place of assignment.
Participate in communication activities designed to share your volunteering experience with those around you and raise awareness of international solidarity issues.
Organize or support a fundraising event to contribute to community efforts. You will have access to the necessary tools and the support of a resource person throughout your mandate.
Write the reports required by the partner organization and the CECI program.
Required skills
University degree in a relevant field (environment, natural sciences, geography, agronomy, international development);
Have a strong interest in environmental issues and climate change adaptation.
Experience in research and data collection.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, strong teamwork skills, and sensitivity to cultural realities.
Fluency in English
