Le Réseau des Femmes Leaders Africaines (AWLN) est une composante du Conseil National des Femmes du Rwanda. Sa mission principale est de servir de plateforme unificatrice pour les femmes leaders. L’AWLN se consacre à faciliter l’apprentissage entre pairs, tant vertical qu’horizontal, à fournir un soutien essentiel et à offrir des opportunités de mentorat aux jeunes femmes dans divers domaines de leadership, notamment la politique, l’entrepreneuriat et l’engagement communautaire.
Functions
The primary partner organization for this assignment is the National Women’s Council, however, the volunteer will also support other partner organizations, including, but not limited to, the University of Kigali.
Support the creation and facilitation of women’s and community networks, promoting collaboration and peer learning.
Assist in awareness campaigns on women’s rights, gender equality, and civic participation to promote inclusive leadership and social transformation.
Document and share inspiring leadership models and success stories to motivate and encourage more women to engage in leadership and community initiatives.
Contribute to the development and implementation of AWLN operational plans, monitoring progress, and assessing the effectiveness of interventions in line with the network’s goals.
Provide technical input for the implementation of action plans developed by the Women and Girls Commission and propose initiatives that empower women and girls.
Work with University of Kigali to strengthen strategies fostering innovative and impactful initiatives for women and girl entrepreneurs.
Support to build and nurture partnerships with women’s organizations and networks to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and co-develop effective programs.
Contribute to establishing mechanisms for strategic collaboration with government, private sector, and civil society partners to enhance synergies and maximize the impact of AWLN interventions.
Systematically integrate gender equality, human rights, and diversity approaches into all activities, ensuring the participation and representation of women and young women throughout all initiatives.
Integrate environmental issues and climate change adaptation in all activities.
Make sure to respect, at all times, the organization's guides, manuals, guidelines, or instructions related to security and safety.
Take the necessary means to ensure your own security, namely by establishing an individual risk mitigation plan in your place of assignment.
Participate in communication activities designed to share your volunteering experience with those around you and raise awareness of international solidarity issues.
Organize or support a fundraising event to contribute to community efforts. You will have access to the necessary tools and the support of a resource person throughout your mandate.
Write the reports required by the partner organization and the CECI program.
Required skills
A degree in Social Science, Social Work, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Business Administration, Project Management, Law, or other related fields.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Gender, Project Management, Development, or related field.
Experience in project proposal development, fundraising, and diversity and inclusion is a plus. Previous experience working in an international context is also considered an asset.
Fluency in oral and written English is required for this position.
Knowledge of French would be considered an additional asset.

- Mise en pratique de vos compétences professionnelles pour appuyer des initiatives locales.
