Organizational assessment and women's economic empowerment Advisor

In the Philippines, CECI promotes the economic empowerment of women in key sectors such as the green economy, rural agriculture, and the blue economy. By providing coaching and support, CECI strives to enhance the performance of partner organizations and foster an environment that encourages the inclusion and economic advancement of women 

Functions

Conduct organizational assessment related to the economic empowerment of women: 

 

  •  Contribute to analyzing the structures, processes, and technical skills of partner organizations to assess their capacity to support the economic empowerment of women. 

  • Collaborate in identifying organizational development and gender equality needs, taking into account the specific characteristics of priority economic sectors. 

  • Assist in completing the organizational diagnostic tools outlined in the Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP) to establish a baseline for capacity-building efforts. 

Support partner organizations in identifying opportunities for women's economic empowerment: 

 

  • Collaborate with partner organizations to explore and identify strategic opportunities for strengthening women economic empowerment. 

  • Assess current practices and recommend initiatives to increase women’s participation in key economic roles, including entrepreneurship and leadership. 

Participate in Establishing capacity-building plans: 

  • Support the development of action plans tailored to the needs of partner organizations to improve their overall performance, focusing on technical skills and inclusive practices to identify suitable volunteer profiles that can help improving their performance. 

  • Provide assistance, as needed, in designing  and providing training sessions and workshops on specific topics (human resource management, improving working conditions, promoting equal pay, etc.)  

Conduct a baseline study on the socio-economic conditions of women and young women supported by the partner organizations: 

  • Collaborate with partner organizations to determine a sampling methodology for target groups that could benefit from the VCP, with a focus on women and young women. 

  • Assist in conducting a socio-economic survey using Kobo Toolbox platform to establish a baseline of the socio-economic conditions of women and young women. 

  • Identify key issues related to women's economic empowerment (WEE) and gender equality, including the specific challenges women face in the targeted economic sectors (manufacturing, rural agriculture, blue economy). 

  • Collaborate assess  the potential impacts of climate change on women and young women in the prioritized economic sectors.

     

  • Integrate environmental issues and climate change adaptation in all activities;  
  • Make sure to respect, at all times, the organization's guides, manuals, guidelines or instructions related to security and safety;  
  • Take the necessary means to ensure your own security, namely by establishing an individual risk mitigation plan in your place of assignment;  
  • Participate in communication activities designed to share your volunteering experience with those around you and raise awareness of international solidarity issues;  
  • Organize or support a fundraising event to contribute to community efforts in collaboration with local partner organizations. You will have access to the necessary tools and the support of a resource person throughout your mandate;  
  • Write the reports required by the partner organization and the CECI program.   

Required skills

  • University degree in a relevant field (management, project management, international development, gender studies, etc.). 

  • Experience in organizational assessments and capacity development within the framework of gender equality projects. 

  • Knowledge of women's economic empowerment issues and challenges in the targeted economic sectors. 

  • Strategic coaching and organizational change management skills. 

  • Training skills, with an ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and impactful way. 

  • Fluency in English.
